Health And Wellness: Nourished and Flourished | #WCW: Business Edition | Philly Local | Natty Contre

Since Summer is here and we're already ready to have our beach body; I have Laura Mac from Nourished and Flourished to showcase a favorite summer recipe! Laura is a health and wellness coach who has studied nutrition. No, MLM here! She is creating a wonderful blog and one-on-one custom meals to help with whatever your dietary needs are.

Meet Laura.

" Health isn't just about what you're eating. its also about what you're thinking and saying, and how you're living and loving"

She loves cooking, wellness and all things health. She hopes to be able to do more hands on cooking classes for her clients.

Q: How did you get started in what you are doing?

A: "So I have some health issues and found that eating very health and clean was the best way for me to live. I have been doing that for 5 years and wanting a job change made me do more research on what I can do. I found an online course to be health and wellness coach and it spoke to me. I knew that was my next step in life. My inspiration to change also came from my family. There are many in my family who have the same medical issue as me and we are living life not letting the fact we had cancer and had total gastrectomy done."

It's amazing what Laura is doing as a cancer survivor for her, her family and so many more.

"There is so much I want to share but if anyone is interested in learning more about my health coaching I am offering a free Health History with me."

Laura can be reached at:

Her Summertime Loaded Veggie Quesadilla recipe is below!

It was absolutely delicious. I love that Laura gave me tons of options, and could flex up and down regardless if I had allergies or dietary restrictions. Enjoy the recipe and contact Laura for more:

2 Corn Tortillas

Vegan Cheese or Regular Cheese

Mashed Avocado

Pico de Gallo

Sauteed Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms and Kale Then A mix of Sauteed Zucchini and Eggplant mixed

Fresh Cilantro Pepper

Adobo Seasoning (She said to pick our favorites!)

Topped with Sour Cream and Chives

I was too hungry to take a picture. Obviously, I am a very responsible blogger! However, Laura sent me two pictures of her client-fan favorites. Now, I'm dying to make these and more.

These homemade empanadas can be customized for your diet. She also showcases her favorite seasonings from Wildtree.

Her menu items are creative, flexible and delicious. She works with in season veggies as well as keeping in any budget. I was impressed how flexible she was with my requests. Her website and food blog is continuously growing and can be found here.

Q: What can people expect from your services?

A: My coaching is a 6 month program. We would meet two times a week. I also offer cooking /meal prep class and if need be a health food shopping trip.
