I wanted to launch a quick blog on how to network. 1,2,3 Easy-peasy rules to follow that are the foundation to helping you build your brand.

1. Start following and ENGAGING on social media focuses that you enjoy.

Engaging is the most important part. Build a virtual network-partnership. I would love to say go to all these 'wine and sip' networking events but sometimes those are just a card-exchange swap. Social Media runs the world for a lot of industries, Take the time to engage with your followers, find like-minded professionals within your industry to network and chat with. Treat people like people NOT as likes, comments and follows. Engage in your community and watch your life (off and online) grow.

2. Carry your business cards with you and drop them EVERYWHERE

I am not fucking joking. EVERYWHERE. The minute you get to talk about yourself, let people know who you are and have a business card ready. Drop it off at stores that make sense, meetings, clients and more. Get ready and get comfortable with talking about you.

3 Collaborate where it's beneficial.

Link up with other professionals that are in your industry. Find people where it's mutual beneficial.

For instance, are you trying to attract brides? Create a style shoot with a photographer, florist, bakery, venue, models and more. This will get you a working network to feed creativity off of, people to give referral for and much more.
