AND just like that, I brought back a series I have not done in FOREVER. I am going to try to do the "WTF series" once a month. No promises though!
What TF is a tinted moisturizer?
A tinted moisturizer is a moisturizing lightweight liquid or cream foundation. It gets its name "tinted" for the lack of coverage it provides.
So, is it a moisturizer?
No. Please still use your skincare. These products still should be treated as lightweight foundations with minimal coverage that have some hydration properties and more than likely, SPF to them.
Ok, its a foundation?
Essentially, yes. It's a skin-tone pigment base.
Why TF do I want this?
Less is more. Especially when our lives are trying to get through a pandemic, civil unrest throughout the world, and the next election. Tinted moisturizers even out your skin tone and can either help mattify or glow up the skin.
Other names that can be used as Tinted Moisturizers:
BB creams (beauty balms) - I find that these are usually matte
CC creams (color.correct) - They can be lighter weight or a bit heavier
Skin Tints - Just marketing
Okay, spill it. What ones do you love the most?
I have so many favorites. I LOVE tinted moisturizers or lighter coverage.
Lancome - Skin Feels Good
Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer (the OG of tinted)
Pur - 4 in 1 Tinted Moisturizer
Kosas Tinted Face Oil
Ones I HAVE to try:
Glossier - Tinted Moisturizer
Color Pop - Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer
Nudestix - Tinted Blur
See you next month, WTF.
